We've had a good response to our car parking policy consultation.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed. The consultation has been a great opportunity to hear your feedback, not only on parking but also on other issues and experiences you wanted to share.
The consultation closes shortly. After it closes, we will review responses and update the policy based on the majority choice and what you've said is important to you. As part of the consultation, residents have also been asked to vote on three improvements that could be made. Any changes or improvements we make will take effect from April onwards, and we'll ensure residents with car parking spaces are told ahead of the changes in good time.
About the consultation
We know car parking is an important issue for you. It's important that car parking is managed fairly and allows parking for residents, visitors*, and carers. When we implemented our new policy, we said we would review it after a year and get feedback from people with parking spaces. So far, we have received 28 postal responses and 45 online surveys.
*Where possible. Not all of our homes have allocated visitor parking.
